Photo Credit ( The Flying Duck ) T he Flying Duck is a semi-secret bar/restaurant situated on Renfield Street in Glasgow City Centre, it's ideal place for open minded folks looking for something a bit different to the usual bars in Glasgow and  as i was looking up bars to visit for my blog The Flying Duck was one that caught my eye opened in 2007 and a sister venue to Stereo, Mono, The Old Hairdressers and The 78 looking to make a name for themselves in Glasgow's underground music, vegan and drinking scene. Offering die-soul food inspired menu, healthy drinks selection, pool table, gigs, clubs, quizzes, film screenings, drag karaoke there really seems to be a little bit for everybody. Firewater is a fun indie bar on Sauchiehall   Street promising (and delivering) real music and hard liquor. This bar is a major draw for students, with occasional live music throughout the week and w hile the music policy airs on the side of indie, Firewater punters know how to rock out too. The venue has attracted its fair share of big name acts and many an after party to concerts over the years, t his late bar in Glasgow is heaving seven nights a week. Cheap drinks and brilliant music (indie/old school rock/pop punk/disco), many people use this place as a place to pre drink before going elsewhere but it is open all night. The bar also caters to those who are looking for a wee bite to eat offering food in the evenings before the crowds really start to gather.  Now this is a place more up my street rather than the thumping tunes of the Solid Rock these are actually tunes that I recognise and know.
